In 2025, as part of the 250 anniversary of jane austen’s birth, her former school room in reading’s abbey quarter, often cited as the inspiration for austen’s mr goddard’s school in. To celebrate this momentous year in austen history the jane austen festival will be holding some extra special events throughout the 2025 year, in addition to the ten days of jane austen.
